Here in Indiana, we just had our first snowfall! That means it’s time for this mama to break out her casual winter outfits! I mean, who doesn’t love a good warm outfit idea? If you are a fan of warm layers and neutrals, you’ll love these go to cold weather outfit ideas!
Cold Weather Outfit Ideas: One
This first one, definitely has more of a Fall vibe, which makes this warm outfit idea perfect for the transition from Fall to Winter. Jeans are everyone’s go to, so I had to include them in the list somewhere! I put them with a super comfy white cable-knit sweater. As a mom, I’m always nervous about wearing white. So, I layered this look with a green cargo vest and added booties! This is a great addition to your casual winter outfits.

I’m a huge fan of neutrals and layers. This look incorporates both!! Black pants and black puffer vest are broken up with a tan tunic. Casual winter outfits like this, can easily be dressed up with statement jewelry. Or even a warm knit hat would look great!

The next warm outfit idea I have for you guys is one of my favorites! I’ll use any excuse to wear a giant cozy sweater. Especially one this cute! I call this my confetti sweater (because of the colored flecks) and put it with a pair of green pants! You’ll never get cold, and always look cute in this!

Finding a balance between business and casual can be difficult! So even though this is a post on casual winter outfits, I wanted to include something for all the working mamas out there! If you’re looking for a warm outfit idea that won’t leave you shivering in the office, layering a blazer over a white pattern shirt with black dress pants is perfect! There’s no exposed skin to fight off goosebumps, it’s comfortable for all day wear, and it looks super cute!!

If you’re lucky enough to have a slow day around the house, or are headed out to the grocery store, just throw on a pair of black joggers with a neutral sweater (I went with black and white heathered knit). This warm outfit idea will have you looking put together and feeling like you never changed out of your pajamas.

No casual winter outfits post is complete without a pair of leggings showing up somewhere! Paired with a casual white tea and an over sized grey cardigan, make this the perfect cold weather outfit. The booties add a little color variation and finish off the look.

One of my favorite casual winter outfits trends is layering a knit sweater over a striped shirt. I was lucky enough on my last thrifting trip (check out my post on How to Thrift Like a Pro) to find a knit sweater with zipper accents on the sides! It works perfectly over this striped shirt and black pants combination.

I decided to add one more dressy casual winter outfits idea to the list. The ruffle sleeves on this sweater were too amazing to pass up! Paired with black dress leggings, this warm outfit idea leans more towards casual. But add a statement necklace and it’s perfect for a dinner date!

Okay you guys, I am super excited about this warm outfit idea!! I never would have imagined myself in a shawl and loving it, but I do!
